PHO METRO

With the cold weather kicking it up a notch, I have been finding it hard to convince myself to get out on my bike. My Strava timeline was looking embarrassingly empty, so I decided this week I would do a big ride to make up for it.

We ended up biking to my cottage on Tuesday, and biking back on Wednesday. On our way home we stopped at Pho Metro in Ajax. A big, warm bowl of pho was exactly what we needed.

The outside of Pho Metro looked very plain, with the windows totally covered with blinds so you could not see in at all. The décor inside was pleasant, with neutral colours. The only thing that put me off a bit was the cushions were all ripped in the booth we were seated at.

We seated ourselves and were brought menus shortly after. We did not have a server come check on us, so we went up to the counter to place our orders. Within minutes our food was brought out to us! It seemed almost a little too quick... but our food was steaming hot and looked delicious.

The portions were huge as they always seem to be at pho restaurants. Usually, I have no problem finishing my meal, but for some reason pho always puts me to shame. I ordered a medium and felt like I barely made a dent in it!

The pho itself was pretty good. Max said he felt it did not compare to the pho we ate in Niagara Falls, but I would rate it about the same. Overall, a pleasant place to stop and grab a bite if you are passing by.
