WISH RESTAURANT + CUTIEPIE CUPCAKES & CO.

I am very happy to say that 2016 was my best Birthday yet! There were many things that made today so special, and one of them was the food I ate. (Before I say anything more, I have to get something off my chest. I did not bike to get food today. Since it was my Birthday, I felt like dressing up a bit and dresses and my bike do not get along. That being said, I had to share my food from today so hopefully you can forgive me one time!)

As I have mentioned before on my blog, breakfast food are my favourite so of course we started the day off with brunch. Wish Restaurant was our venue of choice. If not been to this restaurant before, let me tell you it is the absolute cutest place! They have a patio outside, which is where we sat, and the white wood benches are loaded with brightly colours pillows making it feel super homey.

I did not even have to look at the menu for a minute before I spotted Eggs Benedict and that was that. The eggs came out perfectly poached on a thick slice of peameal bacon, and with a side of homefries and fruit. If I had to explain to you the perfect eggs benedict, it would be exactly this. My mouth is watering just thinking about it now.

My one complaint about this restaurant would be that it was a little cramped. They fit a lot of tables into the small space on the patio, which means you are very close to the table beside you. Nonetheless, I had an amazing meal with stellar service.

After brunch we headed to CutiePie Cupcakes & Co. to try out their Instagram famous cupcake lattes. I do not drink coffee regularly, but a good ice coffee is needed sometimes! CutiePie Cupcakes' lattes come piled high with whipped cream, and a mini cupcake on top. Believe me when I saw it is every bit as delicious as it sound.

We headed home after that and I was in a food coma for the rest of the day. No other way I would have liked to spend my birthday.
