ARCTIC BITES

I am embarrassed to say this, but I have been to Thailand, and the only ice cream I had during my stay was Dairy Queen... I had no idea thai ice cream rolls were a thing! Arctic Bites is a shop new to Toronto this summer, and being the ice cream fiend that I am, I knew I had to try it out ASAP.
I spoke of the wait time for Sushitto being 30 minutes in my previous post, Arctic Bites wait was rumored to be even longer (2 hours longer)! The shop opened at 2pm, and I was really not in the mood to wait in line for hours, so we aimed to get there even a few minutes early.
Our arrival time was 1:55pm which got us the second spot in line. Score! The doors opened right on time and we were invited inside. Arctic Bite's menu consists of eight different flavours, each name being a play on words. Max got "Your Morning Cup" and I chose "We're Mint To Be" (easy decision when Oreo's are an option). They have it set up so you can watch the employees "roll" your ice cream which is a neat experience! I had never heard of this concept before and it was intriguing to watch. In total, we were in and out in ten minutes.
The result is one of the most visually appealing ice cream cups I have ever seen. They look more like a work of art than something you are about to shovel into your mouth. I got over the beauty pretty and tried my first bite, and man was it good. The portions are deceptively filling as well, neither Max nor myself finished are whole cup.
This is defiantly a place everyone should try this summer. Unless you do not mind waiting in line, I would suggest arriving early. They change up their flavours every month so I will be back to try more soon!
