EVA'S ORIGINAL CHIMNEYS

There is something about having to track down a food truck that makes the experience that much more thrilling. My sister had originally shown me Eva's Original Chimneys and I and could not believe my eyes. So. Much. Ice cream. These things are huge! #ogchimneys are soft serve ice cream, in a donut cone, with brownies and other toppings piled on top.

We were planning on getting our bikes tuned that day (our bicycle shop is at the other end of the city),

so we decided to hunt down the food truck on the way back. After our last couple of food missions we were coming to terms with the fact that there was always long waits hyped up places, but we were pleasantly surprised to find no line at all! On this particular day, the truck was stationed in Liberty Village in what seemed to be a fairly quiet area so we may have been lucky.

There were a couple flavours to chose from, but I figured I might as well go all our and get the "Dream Cone". And a dream it was. From their menu:

The ultimate: Nutella, butter toffee bits and organic cocoa drizzle topped with a homemade salted caramel brownie.

Wow. Although the photos on the menu seemed to be a little bit more generous with toppings, there was still more than enough. The brownie was moist and the toppings were just sweet enough. Eva's Original Chimneys' Instagram bio claims they are "mostly natural + organic" which makes me feel a little bit better about eating the whole thing myself.

A huge portion but I do not regret it one bit. Well, I was regretting it a little when I realized we still had 20km of our ride to go...
